Stirling Albion ensured they stayed in the Second Division title race thanks to a 3-1 victory against Forfar at the Forthbank Stadium.

In a keenly contested game the home side's clinical finishing was the difference, ensuring the Loons went home empty-handed.

The visitors had the better of the play during the opening 45 minutes but found themselves trailing at the break.

With 20 minutes played Paul Hay finished from a Stewart Devine cross and settled the home side's nerves.

After the break Stirling began to control proceedings and Scott McLean finished from the edge of the area in the 47th minute to all but ensure victory.

George Rowe headed home from a corner on the hour-mark to stretch the advantage to three and the home side were in cruise control.

Forfar finally got some reward for their efforts two minutes ahead of full-time when Paul Tosh netted a consolation, heading in a Jay Stein cross.
