Mangerless Morton ended Stirling's 100 per cent league record, but Albion remain top of the table after this hard fought draw.

Joe McLaughlin took charge of the visitors and saw them produce a spirted display as they hit back for a point.

Stirling looked dangerous but Morton took the lead in the 32nd minute when Stewart Devine swept home a superb 20-yard shot following a corner.

Morton drew level in the 43rdminute when former Celtic midfielder Chris Millar netted from eight yards after the home defence had failed to deal with a cross from the left.

Early in the second half Martin Glancy shot just wide, but as the game wore on Morton looked more likely to score.

On 64 minutes Warren Hawke sent a header just wide, then Peter Weatherson had a fine volley saved by Myles Hogarth.

Scott McLean almost won it for Stirling late on when he seized on a defensive blunder but his effort was off target and a draw was about the right result..
