Stirling 0-2 Annan Athletic- Match Report

Impressive Annan shock Sterling

Annan scored one in each half as they picked up a 2-0 away victory over Stirling at Forthbank.

The visitors took the lead in the fifth minute when Alistair Love scored from close range after a good run by David Hopkirk.

Annan had chances to double their advantage as they controlled the first half. David Crawford denied Hopkirk and Kenny Mackay fired wide when he had options either side.

The Black and Golds were rewarded for their dominance eight minutes after the break. Albion gifted Annan possession and Hopkirk punished them with a brilliant curling shot, his fourth league goal of the season.

Annan held on comfortably for their second win of the campaign, a result which moved them up to fifth.
