Forfar continued their push for a play-off place with their second win in succession under new manager Ray Farningham.

The scoreline perhaps flattered Forfar, but they fully deserved the three points as Albion were guilty of conceding possession too easily and ball watching at vital minutes.

Albion managed some attractive football in the first half, but Forfar took the lead with an exquisite goal in the 17th minute. Barry Sellars fired a 40-yard pass across field and Ricky Waddell collected perfectly before beating the defender and drilling the ball home from a tight angle.

Forfar doubled their lead in the 36th minute when Darren Gribben worked a neat one-two with Martin Cameron and bore down on goal. His shot looked to be comfortable for keeper Rob Giacomi, but he spilled the ball into the net.

Just before the interval Chris Hay was denied by a great reflex stop from the Forfar keeper.

The second half belonged to Forfar, and Paul Lunan wrapped up the scoring in the 52nd minute when he volleyed home a half-cleared corner from 12 yards.

Right on the final whistle Paul Nugent was denied a consolation when his header came back off the post.
