Great Scott makes his point

Scott Davieson's fifth goal of the season was enough to earn Stirling a 1-1 draw away at Airdrie.

It was the home team who took the lead after just four minutes when John Boyle received Ryan Donnelly's throughball before confidently striking a left-footed effort into the top corner.

Donnelly then curled a left-footed effort against the crossbar after 34 minutes before Davieson was on hand to equalise for the visitors just three minutes later - drilling a low, right-footed effort past Airdrie goalkeeper Paul McKane.

Darren Smith had the opportunity to steal a victory for Stirling in the closing seconds, but his right-footed shot from the centre of the penalty area was well saved by McKane.
