News on Former Binos Players

Last updated : 08 July 2004 By Rave On Line Editor

Stirling Albion youngster Chris Geddes, who was one of a number of players released at the end of the 2003/04 promotion season, has been asked along to pre-season by a number of clubs. The left winger has attracted quite a bit of interest from a number of junior sides as well as Third Division East Stirlingshire. His preferred option however is to join up with fellow former McLaren High School pupil Kenny McClelland at Linlithgow Rose.

Despite rumours that Kenny had been released by the ‘Rose’, they have indicated that he is still very much of their future plans and he will remain there for at least one more season, despite interest from local side Doune Castle. Kenny always looked a good enough player to make the cut, even in the Third Division, however, a huge drop in confidence meant that he was released at the end of Season 2002/03 and he struggled throughout last season. Linlithgow however, obviously see the potential that Kenny has to offer and have given him another chance.

Meanwhile, Gareth Munroe, the winger/ centre forward that starred for the Binos 3 seasons ago and scored that memorable winner against St Mirren in the CIS Cup, is absolutely loving his time out in the United States and his Soccer scholarship is going very well.
