Binos Make New Signing by Scott Johnstone

Stirling Albion today made their first signing of the winter transfer window by snapping up young Kilmarnock striker Paul Di Giacamo on loan until the end of the season. The 22 year old broke into the Kilmarnock first team 3 seasons ago but has found it difficult to get into the starting XI during the 2004/05 campaign and decided to look for first team experience else where. Morton were reportedly interested in the 5ft 11 striker but after their signing of Chris Templeman from Brechin City it left the way clear for the Binos to snatch the talented young Scot. The arrival of the former Scotland Under 21 International comes the week after Republic of Ireland Under 21 International Connor Gethins returns to Ross County after his unsuccessful loan spell at the Binos. It looks as if Albion Under 19 player Darren Cummings has totally fallen out of manager Allan Moore's plans after a very bright start to the season and Di Gicacamo will provide stiff competition for the two forwards places with Scott McLean and Martin Glancy.

Rave On Line would like to thank both Connor Gethins, Michael Galloway and Andy Gibson, who although had rather unsuccessful loan spells at the club always gave 100% for the jersey. We are delighted to see Gibson starring on his return to Partick Thistle last Saturday in their 1-1 draw with St Mirren.

Stirling Albion are currently looking to further strengthen the squad with the singing of a central midfielder after the departure of Michael Galloway to Workington Reds and two names rumoured to be linked with the Binos are frozen out Dumbarton star Steven Bonnar and released Kilmarnock player Mark Canning. Rave On Line will keep you updated with any further developments.
