#8 – Rugby Park, Kilmarnock.

Not a ground we have visited very often in recent years, but if Albion were to make a trip the fans would find Rugby Park virtually unrecognisable. Only the Main Stand remains virtually unscathed. – every other part of the ground has been swept away to be replaced with new stands.

Albion fans might mourn the passing of the ‘away’ end at Rugby Park, which witnessed a few good games. The cavernous covered enclosures at the side of the pitch and behind the goal could both generate a reasonable atmosphere.

Our finest hour there was a 3-2 win in 1977/78 in the days before segregation – half time required a dangerous change of ends!
