#13 – Central Park, Cowdenbeath.

   Modern day visitors to Central Park will find that the old main stand has been truncated – a fire in the early 1990s meant that the portion nearest the entrance to the ground was totally destroyed.
   The new stand that went up in its place has a double Albion connection. Firstly it is called the Alec Menzies Stand, after the Cowdenbeath and Albion legend of the 1950s. Secondly, the seats were rescued from the demolition stand at Annfield – so the red plastic items at Central Park are relics of the synthetic pitch experiment that we were involved in.
   They witnesses many a great game from the Vinnie Moore, David Lloyd, John Brogan and Charlie Gibson era…
